Another Birthday. Another Country!

Today is March 7th in Australia - so yesterday was the day Michael needed to make sure I was fed and feted. He had to do the heavy birthday liftings since most of my friends and family are just waking up on the 6th. And that is good news for me since I get a full two-days of Birthday love. Thanks to all who have sent best wishes throughout the day!

I had a moment to reflect on the birthdays I have celebrated since we left on our Senior Nomad adventures in July of 2013. There have been five, in five different countries! The first was spent in Barcelona where I learned to make paella. The next year we were in Malta on our way to Greece. The big 60 was spent in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I chose to have a feather tattooed on my forearm. Last year I celebrated at the W Hotel in Doha, Qatar on our way to South Africa. And here I am today in a fabulous Airbnb in the center of Melbourne. I am one very fortunate 62-year-old.

Just one of many "feathered friends" I've made along the way. I knew that tattoo would serve me well.

Yesterday I read the blogs we posted near the date of my birthdays. Oh, so many memories! The links are below if you'd like to revisit some of our past adventures, too. (Some of the early ones may look a little wonky - the transition from Blogspot to Squarespace wasn't a smooth one. As for typos, c'est la vie!)
